Chandigarh, Feb 15 – The BJP President, Mr. Amit Shah, has urged party workers to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the saffron splash and give all 10 seats in Haryana to the Bharatiya Janta Party in the ensuing parliamentary elections in 2019.
Addressing a massive turn-out at the ‘Yuva Hunkaar Rally’ organized by the BJP in Jind today, Mr. Shah complimented the working of the Haryana Government. Accompanied by the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, State BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala, ministers and other leaders, he also inaugurated BJP office in Jind and laid the foundation stone of 16 others.
Commending the tenure of the Chief Minister of Haryana, the BJP President said Mr. Manohar Lal had ensured corruption-free government after a very long time in Haryana. Nobody can make even a single allegation of corruption against the Chief Minister.
The Haryana Government is working on the mantra of Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas. The new initiatives taken by Mr. Manohar Lal, be it the online transfer of teachers, transparency in recruitment, e-stamping or successful implementation of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme, all are being praised by all at every forum, he added.
Referring to the attempts made by opposition parties to oppose his scheduled visit to Jind, Mr. Amit Shah said, “We all are dedicated workers of BJP and there is no need to give an account of our works to the Congress. I have come here to give an account of the works done by the BJP Government for the people of the state”.
Daring the former Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, he said that he would give the account of every single penny to him if Mr. Hooda had the guts to listen to him.
Quoting the example of the 13th Finance Commission, Mr. Amit Shah said Haryana got a grant of Rs 14,900 crore under it when there was Congress government both in the state and at the Centre. But now under the BJP Government, the state has received a grant of Rs 42,000 crore under the 14th Finance Commission which is about Rs 27,000 crore more.
Apart from this, Mr. Narendra Modi-led BJP Government has also provided financial assistance of Rs 19,000 crore under different schemes such as MUDRA, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna and for the KMP Expressway.
Continuing his scathing attack on the Congress, Mr. Shah said their leader would say we could not give so much financial assistance to states, how could you manage? While the Congress used to give funds to the favored and flattering ones, the BJP gives to all states for development, he added.
The BJP now has the government in 19 states across the country. Wait for a result of recent elections. I am sure this figure will rise to 21, he remarked.
Describing Haryana as the land of warriors, farmers, sportspersons, and youth, Mr. Shah said the people gave a massive mandate to BJP at the Centre and in the state in 2014. Both governments are working to ensure corruption-free governance. The opposition cannot blame them for any corruption. All people living in the rural areas, including farmers and the poor, now feel that the present government belongs to them.
Referring to the Haryana Agriculture Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar’s statement as Chief of Kisan Morcha, he said Mr. Dhankar used to say farmers should be paid the actual cost of cultivation along with 50 percent profit. The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, has announced in the budget that the MSP for crops would be set at 1.5 times the cost of cultivation.
Similarly, Mr. Modi also fulfilled the promise made to the ex-servicemen by implementing One Rank-One Pension scheme in one year. Apart from this, the Union Government has also announced Ayushman Bharat Scheme to provide quality and affordable health care to nearly 50 crore people, he added.
