Undertrials create ruckus in Tumakuru dist prison

They damaged television set, besides damaging furniture. DH photo

Undertrials at the district prison in Tumakuru created ruckus under the influence of liquor during wee hours of Thursday.

They damaged television set, besides damaging furniture.

They raised slogans against the prison authorities and set papers and documents on fire around 2.30 am.

It is said that an undertrial, who was out on parole leave, had returned to the prison carrying liquor bottles.

SP Divya Gopinath visited the prison to review the situation.
