
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones along with Mi TV 4 have been launched in India on February 14. The new devices were unveiled at an event in New Delhi and the Chinese smartphone player also hosted a live stream for the same on its website and Mi.com. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which is the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 4, is Flipkart exclusive in India. The India pricing starts at Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option. Meanwhile, the upcoming Mi TV 4 will also be exclusive to Flipkart and it costs Rs 39,999.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with the same specifications as its predecessor, except for a Full View 18:9 aspect ratio display. The higher-end 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of Redmi Note 5 comes at Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro variant is more expensive as it starts at Rs 13,999 for the base 4GB RAM option, while the 6GB RAM version costs Rs 16,999. The storage for both the variants is 64GB. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will have a 18:9 display, the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and a dual rear camera setup.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi TV 4 will go on sale starting February 22 on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. People who buy Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will get Rs 2200 instant cashback and 100 per cent additional data from Reliance Jio.
