Select Base Metals Gain On Good Demand

Select base metals including copper, brass sheet cuttings, zinc, tin and nickel gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists' buying amidst good demand from industrial users.


Nickel climbed by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 910 from Monday's closing level of Rs 885 and tin rose by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,460 as against Rs 1,445.


Copper utensils and copper sheet cuttings went-up by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 415 and Rs 435 as against Rs 410 and Rs 430.


Zinc prices increased by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 248 from Rs 244.


Copper scrap heavy and copper armiture moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 446 and Rs 437 as compared Rs 443 and Rs 434 previously.


Copper cable scrap and copper billets edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 452 and Rs 480 as against previous closing level of Rs 450 and Rs 478.


Brass sheet cuttings inched up per kg to Rs 348.
