Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Launch LIVE: Xiaomi Announces Mi LED TV 4 For Rs 39,999 in India

Xiaomi also announces Reliance Jio offer, offering Rs 2200 cashback and 100 percent additional 4G data on every purchase of the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi Smart LED TV 4 in India today at the following prices. All of these products will be available across mi.com, Flipkart and the Mi Homes starting February 22. The Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro will also be available across the offline retail partners of Xiaomi soon.

Xiaomi has launched the MI LED TV 4 in India at a price of Rs 39,999.

Xiaomi brings the Mi remote along with the Mi TV 4, that will feature only 11 buttons in total. The Mi Remote can also interact with other devices Through the PatchWall, like the Set Top Box and others, eliminating the need to use multiple remotes.

Xiaomi has introduced PatchWall with the Mi TV 4 as its own UI that will also offer features like Universal Search and more.

Xiaomi has partnered with Hotstar, Voot, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee5, Sun Next, Alt Balaji, Viu, TVF and Flickstree for the Mi TV 4 to provide 500,000 hours of content. Xiaomi claims that 80 percent of this content will be completely free.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has been launched at a starting price of Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The 6GB RAM and the 64GB storage variant will be available for Rs 16,999. 

Xiaomi announces Face Unlock feature for the Redmi Note 5 Pro users in India. The Face Unlock feature will be available through an over-the-air update to be announced soon, as per Xiaomi.

Xiaomi has embedded Beautify 4.0 on both the front and the rear camera of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

In this image, Xiaomi compares its Redmi Note 5 Pro selfie camera to the one on the Apple iPhone X. Redmi Note 5 Pro's selfie shooter comes with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with AI-based computing engine. It also comes with an LED Selfie Light.

Redmi Note 5 Pro is also the first Redmi Note series smartphone to offer a dual camera setup. The dual camera setup at the back has been placed vertically, just like the one on the Apple iPhone X, and carries a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with a 5-megapixel secondary Samusng sensor.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will come in 4 different colour options: Black, Lake Blue, Gold and Rose Gold.

Redmi Note 5 Pro will be the first Redmi Note series smartphone to offer up to 6GB of RAM. Xiaomi has used LPDDR4X RAM for the smartphone. It also claims it to be its most powerful Note series smartphone till date.

Xiaomi announces the Global Debut of a step-up variant of the Redmi Note 5, as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Note 5 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC that carries 14nm FinFet technology.
