Famous robot company Boston Dynamics has come up with the latest creation- A Robotic dog that can open doors. In the video posted by official channel of Boston Dynamics, the firm’s dog robot known as SpotMini is seen struggling to get past a locked door until another dog robot buddy with a special crane arm opens the door. From the video, it is not clear whether the robots were acting automatically or someone was controlling them. The video got mixed reactions though. Many found it quite impressive others revealed that the same developed discomfort. “Boston Dynamics is going to be the end of us all, and the last remaining humans will be wondering how we didn’t see it coming”, one of the Twitter users tweeted. Every time Boston Dynamics updates its doggy robots there are thousands of posts on how the future machines will enslave us — each watched and typed and shared on little machines that have already enslaved u, ” tweeted another.

Boston Dynamics’ videos never fail to impress. Their robots and AI technology are quite remarkable. It seems that company’s creation has inspired sci-fi series Black Mirror. In the series, the robotic dogs set out to kill people. As per reports, Japanese company Softbank acquired Boston Dynamics from Google’s parent company Alphabet last year. The company released the video on its YouTube channel on Monday and soon it went viral. The video garnered more than five million views. This is the very first time the firm has publicly showcased its SpotMini robot opening a door.
The robot is just over two an a half feet tall and weighs about sixty-six pounds. It comes with a 3D vision system and the same aids the robots to see. “SpotMini is a small four-legged robot that comfortably fits in an office or home,” the site says.
