Guwahati: International Shival festival which began on February 13 in Sivasagar has been attracting hordes of people. The administration has made arrangements for different cultural events for the ongoing festival which will continue till February 15. Artists hailing from Japan, Romania, Italy, France and the USA have been invited to perform at the festival.

Events such as paragliding, stay in handloom village, camping in the tea garden are the major crowd-pullers of the festival.

A total of 651 traders from states like Odisha, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir opened up stalls around the Shiva temple. Besides, the administration also has launched a cleanliness drive to clean up the temple premises.
