It's fine to store vehicle documents in Digilocker App

Henceforth, the motorists of the city need not carry vehicle documents along with them while riding.

The City Traffic Police will accept the vehicle documents such as driving licence, registration certificate (RC) and emission certificate, stored in the Digilocker app.

The people can download the documents through Digilocker, introduced by Transport department and E-administration department. The motorists can produce the documents stored in the app during the regular checking by the traffic police.

However, the people need to submit original documents during emergency such as accidents and when the vehicles are seized due to criminal offences. For details visit http://transport.karnataka.gov.in
