Dharwad: Though the Sriram Sene had threatened to swoop on parks, bars, pubs and other public places to dissuade boys and girls from celebrating Valentine’s Day, no untoward incident was reported in Dharwad on Wednesday. ACP M N Rudrappa told TOI that police had made adequate security arrangement to prevent any indecent behavior on the part of vigilante groups.
“We had told the Sriram Sene leaders to desist from entering into any kind of argument or scuffle and had warned them of stern action if they violated the instruction. Meanwhile, we had also ensured that there would be no misbehavior by the boys and girls celebrating Valentine’s Day,” the ACP said.
