THQ Nordic purchases Germany's Koch Media

The Swedish gaming company THQ Nordic has purchased German media firm Koch Media outright for EUR 121 million. Both companies have agreed to the sale of the Munich-based Koch Media, which appears in the gaming industry under its Deep Silver brand and publishes titles like Saints Row and Kingdom Come. The company is also active in the home entertainment and software industries and serves as a marketing partner for firms like Sega and Paradox Interactive. Koch Media will function as an independent subsidiary under its current name, continue to employ all 1,181 employees and proceed with the development of all 14 games in progress going forward.
