MANILA, Philippines — Gamefowl breeders from Rizal make up the majority of participants in the Happy Birthday Mam Rhona four-cock derby set Friday at the Pasay City Cockpit.

Host Rhona Bullecer has invited fellow members from the Rizal Gamecock Breeders Association (RGBA) and Pilipinas Gamefowl Breeders Derby Association (PGBDA) to the event backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.

Meanwhile, the race for the 2018 LGBA Cocker of the Year title starts Monday, also at the PCC. 

For the first leg of the three-stage circuit, participants will compete in a seven-cock derby with a 3-4 format (Feb. 19, 23 and March 9), according to Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) president Nick Crisostomo.
