Otter Media, AT&T's joint venture with the Chernin Group for OTT conrent, announced Tony Goncalves as its new CEO. He comes from AT&T, where he headed the company's Digital Brands unit and worked with Otter Media since its formation.
Otter Media, which include services such as Fullscreen, Rooster Teeth and Crunchyroll, claims more than 90 million unique viewers per month, and totaled almost 100 billion video views in 2017.
As CEO of Digital Brands for AT&T, Goncalves oversaw the Otter Media relationship and led the strategy for AT&T's entry into OTT with the DirecTV Now subscription TV service. Prior to AT&T he held a number of roles at DirecTV, including leading the pay-TV provider's digital products division and the launch of the NFL Sunday Ticket OTT product.
