Appeal to the Public to Join and Support Reservation Kalhousi Gathering

Dr. Udit Raj (IRS), National Chairman of All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations will visit Manipur to address in a public gathering and an awareness program jointly organized by various organizations at Multipurpose Hall, Mayai Leikai, Kakching, Manipur on 24 February 2018 at 11 AM.

Dr. Udit Raj is also a standing Member of Parliament from Delhi North West Constituency. He is a Rules Committee Member of Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs. He is also a member, Joint Committee on the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015.

Dr Udit Raj after taking the voluntary retirement from the Indian Revenue Service has been fighting for the last 20 years for the welfare of SC/ST Communities.

We, the organizers would like to appeal to all community leaders, village heads, student bodies, church leaders, clubs to kindly support the upcoming gathering and awareness program with a large number of participants so that Dr. Udit Raj will able to bring the following demands to the Government of India.

Demands are
1. Parliament to Enact the Reservation Bill,
2. Enact Reservation in Private Companies,
3. Provide Reservation for the promotion of SC/ST,
4. Hike Scholarship,
5. Fill up of backlog SC/ST quotas
6) Provide Reservation in Higher Judiciary, and
7. Caste certificate of one state should be valid in other states.

The organizers will also submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister through Dr. Udit Raj on the issues and concerns of welfare and any infrastructure needs faced by the SC/ST Communities in the state.
