The RSS is guiding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all the Union Ministers in framing policies and programmes, according to Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
Interacting with the business community and professionals based here, Rahul said: “In every single (Union) ministry there is an OSD (officer on special duty) from the RSS. The minister doesn’t conduct operations on his own — he’s just a puppet. The minister is guided by the RSS on what to do.”
It was under the RSS’ instruction that demonetisation was undertaken, he said. “You know where the idea of note bandhi (note-ban) came from? Do you know who gave the idea to the Prime Minister of the country? It was not the RBI, not Finance Minister Arun Jaitely. The idea was given by a particular ideologue of the RSS,” said Rahul.
However, the Congress leader admitted that the UPA too failed to deliver on the jobs front.
Answering a query raised by a local youth, he said: “I am very sad to say that over the last four years it (job creation) has become really a serious problem. Even during UPA time, we were no way near creating the number of jobs required.”
The Chinese government is creating 50,000 jobs in 24 hours while the NDA government has created 450 jobs in one year, he added.
India isolated
Rahul also said there is a massive expansion of Chinese presence in India’s neighborhood.
With this development, India has been islolated in the region. On the other hand, India's old friends like Russia are cosying up with Pakistan, he added.
