New Zealand-based advertising technology startup Postr has closed a USD 2.5 million funding round led by an investment group of Singapore’s Koh Boon Hwee. Additional funding came from MDI Ventures, the corporate venture capital division of Telkom Indonesia, as well as existing investors NZVIF (The New Zealand Venture Investment Fund) and Sir Stephen Tindall’s K1W1.

Postr has raised USD 5.5 million since its launch in 2014 for its technology allowing operators to integrate lock screen advertising and sponsored data capabilities into their apps.

The company also announced the appointment of Julian Rayner as CTO. Rayner was previously the CEO of Sprite Software in New Zealand, which sold to AVG Technologies in 2011.
