Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Raid’ song breaks the seriousness of the film

Raj Kumar Gupta, who framed ‘No One Killed Jessica’, and ‘Ghanchakkar’.

The gritty thriller-drama features Devgn along with his co-star Ileana D’Cruz.

Breaking the serious tone of the film, latest song of the film ‘Sanu Ek Pal Chain’ celebrates love and romance between the characters of Devgn and D’Cruz.

Voiced by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, this song is reminiscent of the original classic sung by Rahat’s uncle and legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The original song has been remade numerous times, as covers by various artists and in many live shows, the Raid song sounds contemporary.

Devgn plays an income tax officer in 1981 Lucknow who is a morally upright guy, willing to be subjected to innumerable transfers in exchange of exposing the rich for the sake of the poor.

Raid is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series Films, and Abhishek Pathak’s Panaroma Studios. It is slated to release on 16 March.–CINEWS
