Helen Mirren On Playing Dark Heiress in 'Winchester': 'It's Quite A Discomforting Image'

Helen Mirren is all smiles while posing for photographs at her press conference and photo call for Winchester at La Casa Del Cinema on Tuesday (February 13) in Rome, Italy.

The 72-year-old actress recently opened up about disturbed, melancholy heiress Sarah Winchester in the flick, which is playing in theaters now.

“It was very strange. Wearing that black and being someone who chooses to wear black all day every day — she did wear veils — it’s a very disturbing, worrying image,” Helen recently told TODAY. “It’s quite a discomforting image. When you’re in it, it’s mournful and strange and powerful. It was quite transporting.”
