Bhopal: Youths are becoming self-centered, says Prof M Jagdish Kumar


BHOPAL: “Youth is faced with health issues and has less concentration power. They are becoming self centred which results in communication gap with their parents and society. Student should know their aim and work hard,” said vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University Prof M Jagdish Kumar.

He was speaking on the subject, ‘How we can contribute to society with the help of science and its research,’ on the concluding day of  the four-day ‘7th Bhopal Vigyan Mela’ at BHEL Dussehra Maidan. Vigyan Bharti and Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology jointly organised the fest for students.

Vice-chancellor of Rajeev Gandhi Prodhyogiki Vishvavidhyalay, Sunil Kumar Gupta said that science plays an important role in our life. “We have lost and gained many things from invention of science. It has both the positive and negative impacts in our life.”


The sessions ended with the question-answer round. Minister for energy Paras Jain also addressed the programme. 50 models were displayed by college students and professionals at 124 stalls. Handlooms and handicrafts items were also displayed in the science expo, which surprised the visitors.
