Even as it searched for him at various places, the team came to know that he fled to Puducherry and was hiding there. Following this, with the help of the police in the union territory, the Chennai police nabbed him.



Sources further said that he is being brought to Chennai, where interrogations would be conducted with him to know his network and the whereabouts his aide(s).

Jayashree (57), a resident of Kambar Street at Raghavendra Nagar at Kundrathur, was walking with her husband Ashok Kumar (61) near her house, when Siva who came from behind snatched her five sovereign gold chain and ran away.

Meanwhile, the police are continuing the search for the accused involved in another chain snatching incident happened on Sunday at Arumbakkam.
