MANILA, Philippines — Signal number 2 has been raised in more areas in Mindanao as Tropical Storm Basyang maintains its strength and speed.
According to the severe weather bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration 11 p.m. Monday, the following areas are under Signal number 2:
These areas can expect winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour within 24 hours.
The center of Basyang was spotted 300 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and was moving West Northwest at 25 kilometers per hour.
It is expected to make landfall in the Caraga region Tuesday.

These areas can expect winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour causing damage to structures made of light materials.
