PATNA: Restaurants in the city have prepared special menus for those who want to tickle taste buds in the company of their ‘valentines’ on the
Valentine’s Day on Wednesday.
A restaurant situated near Dak Bungalow roundabout has decorated its interiors in red, white and pink. Quotations on love along with small gifts and surprises will also be there on each table. An exclusive customized menu to add flavour to the special occasion has been prepared.
“We have also marked a selfie corner where couples can click their pictures. The dinner will be in candlelight for ambience. We have been providing heart-shaped papers to couples to write lovely notes for their loved ones that we place on the wall near the reception,” said franchise owner of the restaurant Rupa Sinha. A couple can enjoy their meal within Rs1500, she said.
A noted hotel near Gandhi Maidan has organized live saxophone music show with candlelight dinner for couples. “À la carte menu has been prepared for the occasion with continental items. On the table, we will put heart-shaped chocolates that couples can enjoy while waiting for their meal. There will also be two roses that couples can gift to each other,” said its restaurant manager Nagesh Roy. Competitive events have also been planned for the couples who will get prizes for categories such as ‘best dressed’ and ‘best couple’. Two persons can enjoy their meals for Rs2000, he added.
People looking for a moderate menu can also visit a restaurant close to Gandhi Maidan. “Heart-shaped balloons will decorate the restaurant. While no special menu has been introduced, we have tried to re-imagine our dishes and present them in the V-Day spirit. Couples can also enjoy heart-shaped chocolate or strawberry flavoured pastries,” restaurant manager Rakesh Kumar said. Couples can enjoy their meals within Rs400, he added.
