After playing havoc by damaging crops and disrupting normal life in the past 24 hours, the citizens had little relief. There was no sun-sighting the whole day, but no rains as well.
In other parts of the State too, the weather conditions were reported better. Under the sudden changes in weather conditions in the past 24 hours reported 2 cm rainfall at nine places.
Bhopal witnessed cold conditions with cloudy conditions in the early morning hours and later humid condition prevailed during the day. Cloud cover remained throughout the day and faded away for some time in the day.
Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Sagar, Rewa and Jabalpur divisions are the divisions for which warning of hailstorm has been issued by Met department. The lowest night temperature was recorded in Shivpuri at 9 degree Celsius.
Several places in Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior and Chambal divisions while few places in Bhopal are likely to receive rainfall.
According to the forecast, rainfall at several places and hailstorm in six divisions would be witnessed in the next 24 hours.
The abruptness in the weather condition which initiated on Sunday is likely to be witnessed in the next 24 hours as warning of hailstorm at several places has been issued by Met department.
Met official said that an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over west Rajasthan induced due to WD has made the weather conditions abrupt.
Eastern region of the state is likely to receive rainfall in the next 24 hours while except Indore and Ujjain division state would witness hailstorm.
Winds which were witnessed on Sunday lose intensity and were recorded with a speed of 18 km per hour.
Temperatures have not witnessed any significant change in the abrupt weather conditions.
