"The decision was conveyed to all MLAs, including Vijayadharani. She too did not attend the function. However, she has called on speaker P Dhanapal and deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and has made some comments," he added.
Thirunavukkarasar further said her remarks would be inspected and an appropriate decision will be taken. "I will comment on this after that," he stated.
Vijayadharani had said: "I wholeheartedly welcome the move to unveil Jayalalithaa's portrait. As far as I am concerned, there is no wrong in this and I have no objection. Also, it is no wrong to construct a memorial for her."
She added: "These are the times when it is very tough for a woman to sustain in politics. But Jayalalithaa crossed so many hurdles successfully and she was a great leader accepted by people."
