Sui Dhaaga first look revealed: Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan play small town couple
Sui Dhaaga is an upcoming film starring Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan. The actress shared her first look from the movie with her fans on Tuesday. Both the actors are looking very different as simpletons in the film's first look.

Anushka Sharma who had managed to stun her fans earlier by sharing her spooky look in the new poster of her supernatural thriller, Pari, this time is seen wearing saree, bangles, and vermillion, blushing away like a newlywed bride of the 90's era, as a simple girl, Mamta.

Varun Dhawan takes us back to the bygone era with his moustache, playing the role of a young man Mauji, this film surely promises some fresh moments. Both the actors took to social media to share the first look of the film.

Anushka captioned post writing, "???????????????????????????#SuiDhaagaFirstLook."

In the film, Anushka Sharma will personate the role of an embroider whereas Varun aka Mauji will essay the role of a tailor. Anushka has been quite overt in experimenting with roles of different flavours. Her performance cannot be typecast in any specific category rather they have their own individual genre. Earlier on Monday, she had shared the first look of her March 2 release Pari, and now it's completely a twist with this.

Directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame, bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma, the film is all set to release on September 28. Maneesh Sharma who is all praise for the star cast told in an interview that the two actors are leaving no stone unturned to grasp their characters. He also echoed the fact that the characters are rooted and realistic.

Speaking about the project, Varun said, "From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With SUI DHAAGA, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks."
