With time and age, few things grow out of date. But this is not the same with the W.C. Handy Festival.
As the No. 28th year approaches, recently a top regional tourism agency has honored Henderson’s biggest yearly event again.
Located in Atlanta, for June 2018, the Southeast Tourism Society has been named as W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival, one of the STS Top 20 Events. That type of acknowledgment has become quite recurrent over the years. The festival keeps on attracting visitors from every nook and corner of the region and even from foreign countries.
In 2018, the festival dates are from June 13-16.
The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards have emphasized their programs in the Southeast ever since 1985.
The experts related to the Travel industry shortlisted 20 events for every month. STS highlights them all through the United States. One can get the entire list in two of these websites: EscapeToTheSoutheast.com and Travel Media Press Room.
At Audubon Mill Park, this year’s Handy Fest live music line-up performances are programmed for Wednesday, June 13th through Saturday June 16th. Also, select downtown restaurants will be arranging Handy Lunch Breaks and Handy Happy Hours as early as Monday, June 11.
Like always, the whole outdoor festival is completely free to the public and is financed entirely by sponsorships and donors.
