While speaking at a seminar on AP Special status organized by Janavahini party at Guntur, he said, "All the parties must unite for the common good of the state".

Krishnamraju expressed anguish that all the political parties without exception sacrificed the common interest for their respective parties and their individual interests. At least now, after seeing the injustice meted out to the state, the parties must rise as a single voice to improve the lot of the state that befell due to inappropriate division of the state.

Krishnamraju said that the people won't pardon the TDP and the BJP, if they fail to achieve special status. "The representatives of the TDP and the BJP will not find place in the bright pages of the history in case they fail," he warned.

The Telugu Desam Party which came to power with the 'Self respect for Telugus' slogan, committed a historic blunder in the past by giving a letter to the Centre in favour of bifurcation. It committed another by compromising with the Centre on 'special package' in place of special status for the state, he said.

He cautioned that regional inequalities were flaring up because of the ongoing Amaravathi-centric development which may necessitate a sub-division of the state. While the state GDP is Rs 6,99,307 crore, the share of seven districts of north Andhra and Rayalaseema is not even 35 per cent. The state per capita income is Rs 1,35,729 in Amaravathi, but  it is Rs 89,000 in Rayalaseema and Rs 99,000 in north Andhra.

Lambasting at the wasteful expenses incurred by the state government over unproductive activities, he demanded that the statistics be put 'online' to check misuse of public money.  He found fault with the Speaker for not taking action against the defected legislators. The Amaravati affairs are unable to generate 'our capital feeling' among the people of north Andhra and Rayalaseema, he said.

He demanded setting up of High Court in Rayalaseema, High court bench in Amaravati, allotment of iron ore mines to Visakha Steels on ownership basis and sanction of a steel factory in Kadapa district soon.

Dr Kolli Rajendraprasad, co-convener of Better Andhra Pradesh (BAP) said that a central committee must study the pending polavaram funds. The centre must also check the water plunder of Krishna and Godavari rivers being resorted to by the upper riparian states. He wondered how a government that was unable to build an ordinary flyover in Vijayawada boasted of constructing a world class capital in Amaravati in record time.
