The former staff secretary recently resigned after allegations of domestic abuse were reported by the press. But Director Wray told the Senate Intelligence Committee that the bureau completed a partial background check on Porter back in March, and finalized the report by late July. The White House requested a follow-up in November, and the FBI closed the file in January.. |
