Students at Jaipuria Institute of Management celebrate Sports Day

Ghaziabad: The two day Annual Sports Day was celebrated zealously at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.   Many sports related games were organized where the students participated and performed enthusiastically. 

 The students of the institute were made aware of the benefits one can experience from sports and games. Students learned that the involvement in sports can actually help them perform well in all the other activities including academics. To accomplish the above objectives, Khelo India programme by Government of India has been introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level.  In addition to this programme, the MBA students showed up with their participation and spirit in sports.

In these two days of the programme, around 300 students (Boys and girls) participated in the games such as Chess, Carrom, Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, 100 meter Race, Badminton and Table Tennis were played. The session including sports and games rejuvenated students and spurred an interest in sports in all of them. Following are the names of the winners- Girls Cricket Team- Shivangi Yadav and Team, Table Tennis (Boy)- Sagar Arora, Table Tennis (Girl)- Shweta, Badminton (Boys)- Nitish and Abhsihek, Badminton (Girls)- Tanya and Anushka, Carrom (Boys)- Arpit, Carrom (Girls)- Diksha, Chess (Boy)- Arpit, Chess (Girl)- Bhavya, Kabaddi- Shashank and Team

Cricket Boys Team- Srikrishna and Team, Volleyball- MBA I Year, 100 meter Race (Boy)- Ranjan, 100 meter Race (Girl)- Akanksha, Tug of War Boys- MBA II Year, Tug of War Girls- MBA I Year.
