Asus Confirms That Zenfone 5 Will Launch On February 27

The biggest annual event for smartphones, that is MWC 2018, is about to start on 26th of February and a few leading companies have already booked their slots. There are a lot of rumors floating in the market about the arrival of Zenfone 5-series since the last couple of weeks and today Asus itself announced that Zenfone 5 series will be launched at MWC 2018 on February 27.

ASUS had released a teaser photo couple of weeks ago which showed a colored image of number ‘5’ with a hashtag – BackTo5. Besides, the “We love Photo” tag clearly shows that Zenfone 5 series will include camera-centric smartphones.

Asus had also posted a video yesterday in which it confirms that Zenfone 5 series will go official at MWC 2018 on February 27 at 19.30 CET. The company also posted a line with this video, “Never been so beautiful, unveiling an entirely new visual experience this #MWC18 #Backto5.”

Three smartphones in this series are confirmed to including Zenfone 5 Max, Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5. All Zenfone 5 series phones will come with full view displays. Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5 specifications have already leaked on the internet.

The Zenfone 5 Lite comes with full vision display with FHD+ resolution and it may come with 20 MP dual rear cameras and 16 MP dual camera setup on the front.

It does feel like Asus will try to reinvent itself with its new lineup. Xiaomi will be bringing in its Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India shortly spread over a wider spectrum. And Asus certainly is one of the rare few manufacturers that can challenge its march.
