Campaign reaches peak for Tripura Assembly polls

With less than a week Tripura going into Assembly polls, all major parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.

Poll campaign, steered by parties, particularly CPIM, Congress and BJP, has reached at the peak.

Tripura Assembly pollsUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed rallies on Monday and will continue campaigning on Tuesday also in the state.

Congress MP Raj Babbar will be visiting state on Tuesday. Besides, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will address rallies.

Meanwhile, the polling in Charilam constituency in Sepahijhala district has been postponed due to the death of CPIM candidate Ramendra Narayan Debbarma.

Out of 60 seats of the state Assembly, elections are now going to be held on 18th February for 59 constituencies.

The election commission has taken the decision following demise of the CPIM candidate Ramendra Narayan Debbarma of Charilam constituency on Sunday.

Meanwhile, at the last leg now, poll campaign has turned stormy with top level leaders from three major parties touring all corners of state.

On Tuesday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address rallies in Matarbari, Sabroom and Pabiacherra.

And, Congress MP Raj Babbar will hold road shows and address rallies in Kailashahar, Agartala, Bardowali, Ramnagar and Banamalipur constituencies.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is also touring different corners of the state to woo voters in favour of CPIM.

On Tuesday, he will address rallies in Sonamura, Bishalgarh and Sadar constituencies.
