ALAPPUZHA: Two people who went in to dig out a bore well in Manancherry here died of chocking. The details of the two are not available as of now.

Three people went into dig out the bore well among whom Jith alone was saved.

The accident took place in the well in the compound of Ponnadan Lime Industries owned by one Hamid of Ambalakkadavu. The narrowness of the well caused the accident.

As soon as the pipe for the bore well was lowered, water and pungent smelling smoke gushed out of it, and in no time the well became almost half-filled with mud in which the labourers got trapped.

The dead bodies of the two people were retrieved from the well by the fire force.
