BJP’s wrong policies added miseries to common man: Manohar

STATE TIMES NEWS
KATHUA: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Senior Congress Leader and former Minister and General Secretary PCC during a public meeting at village Dhamal in Kandi Block of Billawar Constituency raised serious concern over the betrayal of BJP with people of Jammu as the PDP-BJP Government failed on all fronts. “The public of Kandi area of Hiranagar Sub-division constituency Billawar as well as Jammu is accusing present dispensation both in State and the central level for adopting anti-people and anti-poor policies since their formation” Manohar said adding that public of the entire area is suffering due to lack of basic day-to-day amenities like lack of un-interrupted power supply, portable water, non-availability of essential commodities like ration, sugar and medical facilities and steep rise in the daily consumable commodities.
Dr Sharma said that it is very unfortunate that the State as well as Central Government are imposing more taxes in shape of toll tax i.e by increasing 80 to 100 rupees per quintal at Lakhanpur and GST instead of decreasing to keep control on prize rise of essential commodities and other key construction materials which is all time high.
Dr Sharma said the public of the entire Jammu region has suffered due to lack of governance in the last more than two years. Virtually all the ministers remained busy in transfers and postings of their blue eyed persons and enjoying the comforts by making money out of these workings, whereas the people suffered for want of basic amenities. He accused the BJP that it had surrendered the interests of the Jammuites for the sake of power and deceived the people who voted heavily in favour of the party during the last Assembly elections.
The failure of the government exposed the real face of BJP and its leadership before the public of the region. He said that BJP made tall claims and raised hollow slogans but after coming in power, it surrendered itself completely at the hands of PDP to enjoy power. He appealed to all the Jammuites to unite and fight for common cause of the region. Dr Sharma further stated that the BJP always exploited the sentiments of Jammu province by making false promises particularly during the election but practically they did nothing after coming in power and real face of the party is exposed.
