Jaipur: Padman film starring Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been doing rounds on the social media everyday as the film is based on social issue of menstruation and throws light on the life of a women. By getting inspire from this film, Jaipur youth has come up with a new app named ‘PadPlus’ to change the conservative thinking of millions of people. Rajasthan State Child Preservation Aayog member Jayshree Garg has contributed a lot in the app and with her collaboration Jaipur’s youth has come up with ‘Padplus’ app. This app will help to provide sanitary napkins free of cost to the people. App makers have tied up with self-government organizations to deliver pads to the schools and women in the rural areas around Jaipur.

Founder of ‘Pad Plus’ app, Jayshree Garg, Amit Kumawat, Parmeshwar Sharma and Deepak Agarwal stated that “After Padman movie, we came to know that during period women require sanitary napkin and how much expensive the companies are selling it. So, we have taken decision to design a platform so that both NGOs and needy women can connect directly with us. The app has been built under this social initiative. Till now, over ten NGOs of Jaipur have collaborated with us.”

According to Jayshree Garg, the purpose of this app is so simple. Collection points are being constructed at ten places including Sanganer, Malviya Nagar, Jhotwada, Vaishali Nagar, Mansarovar and Murlipura in Jaipur. Several government schools have been involved in this. Any woman and girl can order for the sanitary napkin from this app and delivery of orders will get start from the month of March. It is compulsory to write requirements of sanitary napkin, name, email and address whereas mobile number is optional. You can download this app from Google Play Store, it is available as “Padplus.”
