Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Daas Dev’ trailer will be out today

Director Sudhir Mishra is all set to release the trailer of his most awaited film Daas Dev on Valentine’s Day. Though the film is the reverse journey of classic romantic drama Devdas, the director known for his unconventional way of filmmaking, will be releasing the trailer on the most romantic day of the year.

Says the Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi filmmaker, “Like I said earlier, we are living in the times of bulls**t and that’s where love stands today. Trailers of films are the first impressions for the audiences to judge whether they want to watch the film or not. In Daas Dev’s trailer, my endeavour was to make it very clear that if anyone is looking to come for some mush, then with due respect to Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s masterpiece Devdas, this film is not for you, my friend.”

The film follows a path contrary to the plot of the classic novel Devdas and is a fiercely political film that talks about the protagonist’s addiction.

It stars Rahul Bhat as Dev, Richa Chadha as Paro, Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni along with Vineet Singh, Dalip Tahil, Anurag Kashyap and others. The film is presented by Storm Pictures and produced by Saptarishi Cinevision.
