Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte‘s PadMan has been unstoppable at the domestic box office. After raking in Rs 23.94 crore in the first two days, the film saw an upward trend on day 3. According to the official figures that we received from the makers, PadMan has collected Rs 16.11 crore on day 3, to take its overall box office collection to Rs 40.05 crore. The film has ended the first weekend on a high and even though it might see a drop on the first Monday, PadMan will surely have a decent first week too.
All this has been possible courtesy the engaging content, the heartwarming message and the stellar performances by Akshay, Sonam and Radhika. The audience, especially the women, has connected with PadMan. Everyone has been raving about the movie on social media and this fantastic word of mouth publicity helped the movie grow over the weekend. This buzz will help the film sustain at the box office too. Considering that the film was released in just 2750 screens and had a niche subject, PadMan has performed very well.
