On Sunday, the weapons were found in King George V Dock at the time of advanced work at the airport. Royal Navy and Specialist officers have checked the bomb and came to know that it was volatile.

The London City Airport declared it’s shut down and directed passengers to make contact with their airline ahead of travelling. It is expected that some disturbance to inbound and outbound flight services will happen.

“A 214 metre exclusion zone has been implemented as a precaution. The decision was taken to ensure that the ordnance can be safely dealt with whilst limiting any risk to the public,” cop stated.
