New Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt apparently isn’t planning to keep the gray alternate uniforms the Vols wore several times throughout former coach Butch Jones’ tenure.
According to a tweet from ESPN.com senior writer Chris Low, Pruitt told Low that the Vols “won’t be breaking out” their “Smokey Grey” uniforms again “while he’s the coach” and “said they would wear orange and white.”

Pruitt made similar comments and strongly hinted at the “Smokey Grey” uniforms not being part of Tennessee’s plans Thursday during the Vols’ recruiting celebration in Nashville when a fan in attendance asked him whether he planned to change their uniforms.
