The circular further instructed marks of the best two subjects to consider for promotion under the internal assessment wherein these tests carry 10 marks a subject.
The schools have been instructed by the DoE to set the question papers for the exam. The earlier two examination papers were sent from the Board.
While the government is considering this move will help the students to improve their scores, teachers said this will add to the students and their 'miseries'.
The government had earlier issued show cause notice to several 'worst performing' schools in matriculation pre-boards.
“There is immense pressure on teachers in the government schools. Conducting exams becomes difficult as there is an acute shortage of teachers. The studies of other classes will get badly affected," said Ajay Veer Singh, general secretary, government teachers' association.
