(MENAFN) Philippine's Labor minister has confirmed complaints of abuse to have urged the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to offer over 2,200 Filipinos living in Kuwait flights to Philippine.

Flights to Philippine were available for Filipinos who want to depart Kuwait on Friday in response to a request from Duterte to the Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific after the discovery of a Filipino corpse stored in an empty house.

Almost 500 citizens are expected to arrive in Philippine, as confirmed by the Labor Secretary, after free flights were available in the airlines.

Philippine indefinitely refrained from sending employees to Kuwait in January after suicide cases of abused employees emerged, Duterte declared.
