KVGB tops in code compliance rating

The Dharwad-headquartered regional rural bank (RRB) -- Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) – has been awarded an overall rating of ‘above average’ on code compliance by the Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI).

Quoting S Ravindran, Chairman of the bank, a press release said here on Monday that the bank has been ranked first among 28 RRBs at an all-India survey during 2017-18 by BCSBI. The board is an independent body set up by Reserve Bank of India.

Ravindran said that KVGB has done extremely well under ‘information dissemination’, ‘transparency’, ‘grievance redressal’, ‘customer-centricity’, and ‘customer feedback’ at the grassroots level. The compliance level was high in ‘transparency’ and ‘customer feedback’, and it was above average in other parameters, the release said.
