GUWAHATI: BJP's ally in Assam, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), reiterated its stand on the much debated Citizenship Amendment Bill during its central executive meeting at the party headquarters in the city on Sunday.

AGP president Atul Bora said the party has decided to hold a mass rally in the city in the later part of March to make people aware of the ill-effects of the bill.

Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016, endorses citizenship for the religious minorities of the neighbouring countries of India who have entered the country till December 31 of 2014.

"We will again go to New Delhi and meet the party heads of different regional parties. Besides, we will strengthen our stand against the bill," said Bora. tnn
