(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) UPPER DIR: The Upper Dir received first snowfall of winter that attracted tourists in drove from lower parts of the province.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Dir has received about two feet snowfall in Kumrat, Usherai, Barawal and Lowari Top.

Tourism enjoyed the snowfall and said that Upper Dir was far beautiful than any other hilly area of the country. 'We have enjoyed the weather and beauty of Dir,' said Aslam, a tourist from Peshawar.

The snowfall started after receiving rain like other parts of the country that was welcomed by local residents. Farmers feared that drought would affect the wheat crops and prayed for rain.
