There will be Ram rajya in the country only after the construction of Ram mandir at Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya, said Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, heir of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chief of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas.

A large number of saints and karsevaks reached Karsevakpuram in Ayodhya on Sunday to have a glimpse of the ‘Ram Rajya Rath’ that arrived in the temple city from Mumbai on Saturday. The 28-feet rath, modelled on the lines of the proposed Ram Mandir, will begin its 41-day yatra till Rameswaram on February 13 (on Shivratri).

Along with saints, Mahant Kamal Nayan Das also reached Karsevakpuram.

“If Ram temple is not constructed in Ayodhya, then where else will it be constructed,” asked Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, while addressing the gathering of saints.

“Ram Rajya will only come in the country after the construction of Ram Mandir at Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya,” he asserted.

He lauded the role of Sree Ramadasa Mission Universal Society, Kerala, for taking out the Ram Rajya Rath Yatra with the objective of constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

“Sree Ramadasa Mission Universal Society is doing a commendable job by taking out Ram Rajya Rath Yatra from Ayodhya. The society is also extending various humanitarian services,” said Kamal Nayan.

After passing through many states, the rath yatra will end at Ram Das Ashram in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Ram Navami.

Artistes from Pune gave a musical recitation of Ramayan on Sunday at Karsevakpuram in Ayodhya. They arrived with the Ram Rajya Rath.
