Shanghai Futures Exchange hikes transaction fee on May nickel contract
Kitko reported that Shanghai Futures Exchange said on Friday it will quintuple the intraday transaction fee on its nickel futures contract for May delivery with effect from Monday.
The fee on the May contract, currently the ShFE's most-traded nickel contract, will rise from 6 yuan (USD 0.9534) per lot to 30 yuan per lot, the exchange said on its website.
Shanghai nickel prices have shown volatility in recent weeks, closing down 2 percent at 98,770 yuan a tonne on Friday.
