Select base metals gain on good demand

Mumbai, Feb 12 (PTI) Most of the base metals including copper, brass and tin gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists' buying amidst good demand from industrial users.

While aluminium ingots and zinc softened owing to mild demand from consuming industries.

Tin climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,445 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,435.

Copper armature rose by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 434 as against previous closing level of Rs 427.

Copper sheet cuttings went up by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 430 as compared to weekend's close of Rs 424.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils and copper billets increased by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 450, Rs 410 and Rs 478 from Rs 445, Rs 405 and Rs 473, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy and brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 443 and Rs 334 as against Rs 439 and Rs 330 previously.

Brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 347 from Rs 345.
