Doctors to help state in neonatal care

PUNE: Experts with city-based hospitals are in talks with the government for drafting guidelines to improve neonatal care in state-run hospitals.

"State health minister Deepak Sawant sought out suggestions on improving neonatal care at government hospitals. A memoramdum of understanding is expected with the state government," neonatlogist Sachin Shah of Surya Mother & Child Superspeciality hospital in Wakad said.


"Surya will work with the state government tyo train doctors, paramedical staff of Special Newborn Care Units We will also guide nursing homes and hospitals to provide better facilities," he said. TNN
