(MENAFN) Activists and legislators are demanding advanced laws in order to protect migrant employees, after an Indonesian maid, whom to be said had wounds over her body and unwillingly spent the night outside the house along with the family's dog, died in Malaysia.

Concerned neighbors took an action by calling and informing Lawmaker Steven Sim office about the chances of Adelina Lisao, 21, being abused.

However, when confronted, the 21-year-old maid's employer has rejected cooperation.

Steven has also confirmed that after police rescued her, Lisao was rushed to a hospital where she later died on Sunday.
