(MENAFN) Egyptian army has revealed 12 terrorists to have died at the hands of security forces with 92 seized amid a crackdown in the Sinai Peninsula.

The army's statement also confirmed 60 terrorist targets to have been obliterated by the Egyptian air force.

Ever since the Operation Sinai 2018 was set in motion on Friday, the army has declared 16 terrorists to have been eliminated and 34 arrested in Sinai.

Egypt has launched the crackdown as a piece of their efforts to wipe out militants who are liable for a series of attacks.
