1 dead, 3 injured in serial mishap on Hebbal ORR

A woman was killed and three of a family injured in a serial accident on Hebbal Outer Ring Road on Sunday.

The accident occurred around 9.45 pm near Babusapalya, where white topping work is being executed.

A BMTC bus came to a halt suddenly, leaving a Pulsar rider who was right behind the bus with no choice but to bring his vehicle to a halt.

A Canter and a Tata Ace, which were moving at a high speed behind the bike, rammed into the Pulsar.

Locals immediately shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. The pillion rider, Salma Ariffa (28), suffered a serious head injury. She was declared dead at 10.45 pm.

The injured are Chand Pasha (38), Salma's husband, and their children Madiha Kausar (8) and Muhammad Umar (5).

A case of rash and negligent driving has been booked against the Canter driver Manjunath (23), Tata Ace driver Kiran (28) and BMTC bus driver Pradeep (34).
