The highest honor of my career was in 2011 when Jon M. Huntsman Sr. invited me to return to Huntsman Cancer Institute/Foundation as its chief development officer.

To sit across the desk of this powerful, yet humble man, and hear him say to me that it would be an honor and would be like I was coming home, was such a balm to my soul and stays with me to this day, tucked away in my heart.

Huntsman, Karen and family chose to create the life-changing/life-saving Huntsman Cancer Institute when many thought it wasn’t possible. That is the true measure of greatness, and I was privileged to have been part of that for nine years.
